My professional career mainly consists of softball. Although I did not play professionally, softball taught me life quality characteristics that I believe I have and will be able to take into the work force. Most of my experience thus far comes from school and self-driven work (ie. theWhitness). Sports taught me to be early to everything with my best foot forward. Quality and expectation of great work is formed into my lifestyle. I look forward to experiencing new work related activities and excelling my knowledge everyday.
National Pro Fastpitch (Internship)
June 2017 - August 2017
During my time at the National Pro Fastpitch headquarters, I worked hand in hand with the Vice President, Gaye Lynn Wilson. I was in charge of editing and putting the stories up on the website for each game. Along with this everyday task, I created notifications for the NPF app. These notifications included promotions of games to help fans get there. I learned persistence, organizational skills and strengthened my editing skills.
Lou & Bug's
Fall 2016 - Summer 2017
I was hired by Paul Cart, the Lou & Bug's Owner, to be their social media guru. I posted on Instagram and their Facebook page. My job included making their boutique items appealing to the consumer's eye. Whether that was through words or a picture, I created lasting customers for this boutique.
theWhitness.com
2015 - Present
theWhitness.com is my personal blog where I talk about faith, softball and coffee. At the time of creation, I wanted to inspire my readers and help them along their journey. People everywhere, including me, struggle with something and I wanted to create a space where people could be vulnerable with the words I wrote and find a sense of truth and joy to help them through their unique struggles. The three things I talk about relate to me personally, but through those three things, my readers could include their very own context and allow my words to guide them to find their missing piece or encourage them to take a step outside of their comfort zones.
